We are proud to announce that our Partner & COO, Katie Kern, is one of over 8,200 alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.

Created by Babson College, the nation’s leading entrepreneurship school, the program provides small business owners with the education, resources and tools necessary to succeed in business.

Geared toward helping entrepreneurs scale their business, the program helps participants develop actionable plans to reach their goals.

For Katie, this meant rolling up her sleeves and taking part in one of the most intensive programs in the nation. “The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program was one of the most difficult and rewarding experiences of my life,” said Katie Kern, Partner and COO of Media Frenzy Global. “I learned things about myself I had not known previously and came away prepared to take MFG to the next level.”

Katie took part in the program alongside a group of eight other entrepreneurs across the nation from Puerto Rico to Philadelphia. Having other like-minded leaders to bounce ideas off of helped immensely in this process and the group still keeps in contact to this day; sharing company updates, advice and keeping each other on track for the plans they forged at Babson to elevate their businesses

The program forced  Katie to shift her focus – both on MFG and in her personal development. “I realized I had to focus on the business, not in the  business. I had to remove myself from the day-to-day to help see the big picture and scale our agency to where we know it can be,” said Katie.

She also credits her Goldman Sachs learnings to practicing the art of personal fulfillment   outside of the office. She says finding a new passion or hobby (especially one you thrive in) is essential to success in today’s industry. Many executives suffer from burnout, so fueling passions outside of your business will help keep you balanced and focused.

“The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program was a great launching pad for the future of Media Frenzy Global, but we are just getting started,” said Katie. “I’m excited to put  what I’ve learned into action and Go There with MFG.”
